T1D at School: Printable Carb Stickers for Snacks
The following labels can be used to identify the carbohydrate content in food items being sent to school for snacks, lunch, or low treatments:
Regular Snack /Lunch – Dragon labels
Regular Snack /Lunch – plain labels
Low Treatment labels
Back-up Snack labels (snacks to be consumed when blood glucose is not low, but a low may be imminent)
Feel free to use the above templates to create your own labels, with the following edits:
- Replace “(name)” with your child’s name (or delete it if you prefer)
- Replace “X” and “Y” with your desired blood glucose range, where applicable
- Change “Eat With Insulin” to “Eat Without Insulin” (and vice versa), as applicable to your child’s individual diabetes management program.
Then, after checking the formatting by printing onto a blank piece of paper, go ahead and print on the labels of your choice.
The templates were created to be used with Avery Mailing Labels #58160/08460/5260/55160, or any other Avery variation with 30 labels (1″ x 2-5/8″) per sheet. However, they can be used to print labels of any size and brand – you just need to re-format the template to fit the label used.
